Dr. Todd Geiler: A Lifelong Advocate for Education, Safety, and Community
Dr. Todd Geiler has a long history of involvement in various organizations and activities that promote safety, education, and community development. Growing up in Yavapai County, Arizona, Dr. Todd was exposed to both healthcare and ranching from a young age. This led to his participation in 4-H, where he developed a range of skills and values that would serve him well throughout his life.
Dr. Geiler's interests also extended to shooting sports, starting with rifle shooting and eventually moving on to pistol shooting. He gained recognition for his skills at various matches and competitions, earning local, state, national, and international exposure.
Upon returning to Prescott after graduate school, Dr. Geiler began teaching firearm safety as part of the Arizona Game and Fish Hunter Safety Program and the National Rifle Association’s Firearm Safety Program. Along with his family, he taught this program for 34 years, reaching over 16,000 people and helping to make their community a safer place through education. When the program ended, Dr. Todd became the first local president of the Friends of the NRA Foundation, an organization that raises funds for local safety and shooting range development and runs the Eddie the Eagle Program, teaching safety and providing instruction to children in Yavapai County.
In addition to his work with the NRA, Dr. Todd is also heavily involved in the Prescott Kiwanis club, an organization dedicated to making the world a better place for children. As President, he has led the local clubs in their annual fund raising efforts through auctions, with the funds going towards projects that benefit children in the local and Quad-city areas.
Dr. Geiler's commitment to his community and to the well-being of others extends beyond his work with the NRA and Kiwanis. He is also a 40-year member of the Prescott Sportsmen’s Club, a member of the Granite Mountain Archers, and a member of the Arizona Cattle Growers. He is a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association and has served as the past president of the Friends of the NRA.
In this role as vice chairman of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission, Doctor Geiler has been working to make positive changes for Arizona's wildlife. This includes promoting fair hunting practices and ensuring that the state's diverse array of animal species are protected and preserved for future generations to enjoy. By upholding these values, this person is helping to ensure that Arizona's natural habitats remain vibrant and thriving for years to come.
